主讲课程:
主讲厦门大学化学系(国家理科基础科学研究和教学人才培养基地)的主干课程《物理化学》,并将该课程建设成为国家精品课程,主编出版了普通高等教育“十一五”国家级规划教材《物理化学》(第一版)和“十二五”国家级规划教材《物理化学》(第二版)。
培养研究生情况:
孙教授所带领的课题组迄今已培养出站博士后7名,毕业博士生39名、硕士研究生71名以及多名本科生。培养的博士生中有一人获得全国百篇优秀博士学位论文奖和卢嘉锡优秀研究生奖,获得国家自然科学基金委“优秀青年基金”项目,多人担任国内外大学的教授,入选教育部“新世纪优秀人才计划”、中科院“百人计划”和中组部“青年千人计划”。
研究方向:
主要从事电催化、谱学电化学和和能源电化学等研究,侧重原子排列层次的表面结构与性能,以及分子水平反应机理和反应动力学。

2、运用电化学原位红外反射光谱等从分子水平研究电催化反应机理;
3、高指数晶面/高表面能金属纳米催化剂的电化学控制合成及性能研究;

在Science,Angew Chem Int Ed, JAm Chem Soc, Chem Sci Rev, Acc Chem Res, Adv Mater, Chem Commun, Electrochim Acta等学术刊物上发表SCI收录论文390余篇,他引8500多次。其中发表在Science的工作创建了金属纳米晶体形状和表面结构控制与生长的电化学合成方法,突破了金属晶体生长趋于最低表面能规则的限制,首次成功制备出二十四面体铂纳米晶,显著提高了铂纳米催化剂的活性和稳定性,开创了高指数晶面纳米材料合成和性能研究的新方向,被评为“纳米催化剂合成的一个重大突破”,论文在中科院科学数据库公布的“十一五”期间发表的中国大陆纳米研究最有影响的10篇论文中排名第一,在中国科学技术信息研究所发布的2004~2014 年中国处于ESI 世界前1%高被引的12279 篇论文中排第三位。

孙世刚,厦门大学化学系教授,固体表面物理化学国家重点实验室研究员,博士生导师,享受政府特殊津贴专家。1982年毕业于厦门大学化学系,1986年9月获巴黎居里大学授予法国国家博士学位,此后一年在法国科研中心界面电化学研究所做博士后研究,1987年底回国工作。近三十年来始终坚持在科研、教学和人才培养工作的第一线,在电催化、谱学电化学和能源电化学研究方面取得了一系列创新成果,为推动本学科科研发展及技术进步发挥了积极作用。他在教学工作中兢兢业业,尽职尽责,多年来培养出站博士后7名、毕业博士生39名、硕士研究生71名以及多名本科生。由于科研及教学工作成绩突出,先后获得2006年度国家教学名师奖、2007年度宝钢优秀教师特等奖、2010年度全国优秀博士学位论文指导教师奖、2013年度卢嘉锡优秀导师奖以及2014年度“全国模范教师”光荣称号等,被评为2008年度福建省先进工作者、2010度全国先进工作者以及2014年度全国优秀科技工作者。
专心搞科研
孙世刚教授长期从事电催化、谱学电化学和能源电化学研究。主持完成第二届国家杰出青年科学基金(1995~1998)、国家973计划等重要课题。在揭示表面结构与电催化性能的规律、从分子水平认识电催化反应机理、系统调控高指数晶面金属纳米催化剂的结构和性能等方面取得了创新研究成果。在Science,Angew Chem Int Ed, JAm Chem Soc, Chem Sci Rev, Acc Chem Res, Adv Mater, Chem Commun, Electrochim Acta等学术刊物上发表SCI收录论文390余篇,他引8500多次。其中发表在Science的工作创建了金属纳米晶体形状和表面结构控制与生长的电化学合成方法,突破了金属晶体生长趋于最低表面能规则的限制,首次成功制备出二十四面体铂纳米晶,显著提高了铂纳米催化剂的活性和稳定性,开创了高指数晶面纳米材料合成和性能研究的新方向,被评为“纳米催化剂合成的一个重大突破”,论文在中科院科学数据库公布的“十一五”期间发表的中国大陆纳米研究最有影响的10篇论文中排名第一,在中国科学技术信息研究所发布的2004~2014 年中国处于ESI 世界前1%高被引的12279 篇论文中排第三位。
在科研攻关不断取得突破的基础上,孙世刚教授主编了多部具有影响力的著作,包括“In-situ Spectroscopic Studies of Adsorption at the Electrode and Electrocatalysis”(Elsevier科学出版社)、“十二五”重点科技图书《电催化》(化工出版社)等。他曾获得“金属纳米催化剂的表面结构调控和制备方法”、“锂离子电池锡铜合金负极材料的制备方法”等中国发明专利授权13项,为18部著作撰写20篇专章,应邀在国际学术会议上作大会报告9次、主题报告20次、邀请报告48次,在全国性学术会议作大会报告16次。现主持国家自然科学基金委“界面电化学”创新研究群体项目(2011年1月~2016年12月)、和国家重大科研仪器设备研制专项“基于可调谐红外激光的能源化学研究大型实验装置”项目(2014年1月~2018年12月)。
他作为第一完成人取得的科研成果先后获得1996年度国家教育系统科技进步奖二等奖、2008年度国家教育系统自然科学奖一等奖、2013年度国家自然科学奖二等奖。2010 年,他因“发展电化学原位红外光谱方法,从分子水平认识电催化反应机理和动力学,以及在金属纳米催化剂电化学形状控制合成等方面做出重大贡献”而获国际电化学会授予的Brian Conway 奖章。此外,他2009年获得首届中国电化学贡献奖、2014年获中法化学讲座奖,并被评为2014年度全国优秀科技工作者。
潜心育桃李
孙世刚教授长期主讲厦门大学化学系(国家理科基础科学研究和教学人才培养基地)的主干课程《物理化学》,并将该课程建设成为国家精品课程,主编出版了普通高等教育“十一五”国家级规划教材《物理化学》(第一版)和“十二五”国家级规划教材《物理化学》(第二版)。他所带领的课题组迄今已培养出站博士后7名,毕业博士生39名、硕士研究生71名以及多名本科生。培养的博士生中有一人获得全国百篇优秀博士学位论文奖和卢嘉锡优秀研究生奖,获得国家自然科学基金委“优秀青年基金”项目,多人担任国内外大学的教授,入选教育部“新世纪优秀人才计划”、中科院“百人计划”和中组部“青年千人计划”。
孙世刚教授在教学过程中对学生要求严格,他常常要求研究生主动学习,去尝试有创造性的工作,同时要做好基础研究。他曾对学生说,科学最有生命力的是基础支撑的部分,科学研究不能赶时髦,不能今天纳米很热,就赶着做纳米,发了几篇文章,下面再做什么就不知道了。真正有生命力的研究必须有基础的支持,打好基础,研究水平自然会不断提高。
孙世刚教授不仅在科学研究和教书育人方面成就斐然,还为促进学术的发展做出了突出贡献。他于2005年当选为英国皇家化学会会士,2007年当选国际电化学会会士。现任国家973计划能源科学领域咨询专家组成员,教育部科学技术委员会委员、学风建设委员会委员、化学化工学部常务副主任,中国化学会常务理事、副秘书长、电化学委员会主任、国际电化学会中国国家代表。担任J Electroana. Chem,Functional Materials Letters,International Journal of Analytical Chemistry和《应用化学》等学术刊物编委,Electrochimica Acta、《物理化学学报》、《光谱学与光谱分析》和《化学教育》副主编,《电化学》主编。
