刘兴军教授,厦门大学材学院院长,厦门大学材料设计与应用工程研究中心主任,厦门市高性能金属材料重点实验室主任,福建省闽江学者特聘教授,博士生导师,国家杰出青年科学基金获得者。1994年10月国家教委公派、享受日本文部省奖学金赴日本东北大学攻读博士学位,1998年获得日本东北大学工学博士学位,1998年4月至2000年3月任日本通商产业省重点项目主查、首席研究员,2000年4月至2004年12月任日本东北大学助(副)教授。
